The Swan Hellenic YouTube channel has been relaunched with a new series of destination stories, expert insights, and practical tips from the people who know the world’s most remote regions firsthand.
The new series opens with Swan Hellenic Corporate Expedition Leader Antony Jinman. Antony has completed more than 100 Antarctic voyages and has skied to both the Geographic North Pole and the Geographic South Pole — the latter solo.

Our first episode with Antony focuses on the wildlife encounters that define Antarctica from the very beginning: crossing the Drake Passage, taking those first steps ashore, and heading out by Zodiac among icebergs and glacier-lined bays. Albatrosses follow the ship, whales surface without warning, seals rest along the shore or hunt in the icy waters, and penguins bring their own slightly theatrical character to the landscape. For Antony, this experience comes down to three words: Adventure. Memories. Legacy.
Shorter films offer quick glimpses into the stories behind the animals you may encounter on an expedition, adding context to what you see from the deck, Zodiac, or shore.
Recent videos explore the remarkable size of elephant seals and one of Antarctica’s great seabirds, with a wingspan of around three meters.
There is practical advice too. 8 Tips to Cope with Seasickness focuses on one of the questions many first-time Antarctic travelers have: how to prepare for the motion of the Drake Passage and stay as comfortable as possible during the crossing.
For those considering their first expedition, our fourth episode, Antarctica: 5 Things to Know Before You Go, offers a realistic look at what to expect on an Antarctic expedition.
Our new episodes invite viewers to learn more the Arctic and other Swan Hellenic destinations, combining destination films with the expedition team’s insights.
If you enjoy discovering the world through the people who spend their lives exploring it, we would be delighted to have you with us.
